Until he finds her he will not be able to release the pent up sexual energy that is driving him insane. On his journey to find his mate he is captured and held prisoner by Lana, a vicious vampiress.

A Sex Crazed Vampiress
Lana is intrigued by Jude's ability to resist making love to her. She doesn't know of the curse placed upon him years ago. No matter how hard she tries to seduce him she always fails. His life means nothing to her and she is ready to end his existence, but first she must know what prevents him from succumbing to her seduction. She wonders if it's her or if Jude is like this with all women. To test her theory Lana places one of her female prisoners, Carissa, and Jude together. To her dismay, sparks ignite between the two captives.

A Witch on a Mission
Carissa is searching for her friend who is rumored to have been captured my Lana and her men. However, their lust for one another angers Lana and can only lead to one thing…death for both her and Jude.

Now that Jude has found his mate he must get them both to safety before Lana destroys them.

Will Jude lose his mate so soon after finding her or will they escape Lana's wrath and form a bond so strong nothing and no one can break it?

When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.

I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.

Six on Sunday - X-TROLLER

Six paragraphs from X-TROLLER, an erotic sci-fi, futuristic, time travel, post-apocalyptic romance novel.
Now available from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid!
Also available at Amazon and All Romance eBooks.
* * *
1. Straightening up, she locked onto Eli’s face and stared at him eye-to-eye. “I’m from here, but from the future. The near future. Your future. And trust me, boys, if we don’t manage to stop these things now, you won’t live long enough to see it.”

2. Stepping away from the brick wall, Eli swung behind Dwan and aimed his weapon overhead to provide back-up. At the last split-second he saw the supposedly dead creature lying inches away reach up with a razored claw. In that particle of time, he knew that if he tried to fire at the mutant or at its claw, he could either miss or not stop it in time. Without thinking, Eli dropped his gun and grabbed the slimy, cold arm as its claw connected with the back of Dwan’s calf. Lifting his knee, he slammed the appendage over his thigh, breaking the claw into two pieces. Separated, the sickle-shaped claw stopped short of cleaving into her muscle. Eli threw down the broken leg in disgust and wiped the mucilage from his hands onto the backs of his jeans.

3. He watched as she mulled over his offer. Strangely, he found himself hoping she would accept. No, scratch that. He was sending her little mental vibes in a nonsensical attempt to persuade her via telepathy. For some reason he couldn’t quite understand, he needed her to stay with him tonight. Stay within seeing distance. Within breathing distance. Close enough to perhaps touch.

4. A few strands of hair were plastered to his glistening forehead. They splayed upward, feathering over and almost into his eyes. Dwan reached out to brush them away when Eli grabbed her by the wrist. The glitter in his eyes became a smoldering look. Before either of them could understand what was happening, she felt his thumb caress the skin above her pulse. Down, over the vein, then up into the palm. Slowly, provocatively, it tickled as it sent intense currents through her bloodstream and straight between her legs. She took a shaky breath, and his other arm pressed against her back and shoulders, trapping her. His eyes remained locked on hers, his gaze burning into hers.

5. He felt like he was being torn apart, and there wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it. Or do to prevent it. There was pain now, but there would be more pain to be felt in the future. If the pain he was suffering today because of what that creature had done to his arm wasn’t enough to cause him misery, knowing Dwan would have to leave him would be the final blow. He had been fighting his feelings ever since last night, but no amount of denial would negate the fact that he was falling in love with the warrior woman who worked so seamlessly beside him.

6. “I got less than two months to find the answer, Dwan.” He stopped and turned to stare at her. At her lovely face with tousled hair that fell onto her shoulders in a thick tangle and down around her perfect breasts. Suddenly his throat closed up on him again, along with a prickling warmth that rose into his face, into his eyes, and a tickling sensation that drifted into his nose. “And I’m losing you today,” he barely managed to whisper. “God knows how I’m going to survive that. But while you’re still here, we have to find the answer, or else we’re going to lose everything. Dammit, Dwan! I’m not going to my nonexistent grave without a fight! I’m not—” His voice gave out, leaving him unable to finish. A tear rolled onto his cheek. He clenched his teeth as he fought the desire to let it all out. Dwan flicked away the single teardrop with her thumb and leaned in close enough to kiss him.

Review: DEEP

~ Reviewed by Merrylee, TwoLips Reviews

Galactic Enforcer Lawn Bascomb finally stands on the threshold of accomplishing her dream, a dream she's dedicated her life working toward. She's about to depart Earth for guard post duty in Area 6Y, on the very fringes of the galaxy. She'll spend one year there, her ship anchored to a buoy as she watches for any and all threats to Earth. There's nothing she desires more than the precious solitude it will bring her. One whole year of it, with no one to stare at her or look away all too quickly from the awfulness of her facial deformity. Her only company will be Deep, the male AI installed in her Vogt ship.

Deep is one of only four experimental spaceships that incorporate distinctly different artificially enhanced intelligences created specifically for deep space duty. He's been waiting months for this time alone with Lawn. Able to project a holographic representation of himself, Deep is not only handsome and sexy, he's the very image of a man Lawn’s been fantasizing about ever since he smiled at her, despite her disfigurement. He quickly becomes so much more than her shipboard computer. He becomes her friend and then her lover, making her feel beautiful for the first time in her life.

When they're faced with certain death from a natural cataclysm that also threatens Earth, Deep knows he must save Lawn and Earth, even if the price is his own life. For Lawn, without Deep, her future isn't worth a plugged nickel. Or is it?

Deep by Linda Mooney deviates from all her other Sci-Fi romances I've read, and I've read quite a few. It tells the story of love found between an artificially intelligent spaceship and “his” flesh and blood female pilot. Through Ms. Mooney's skillful writing, it doesn't take the reader long to start viewing Deep as a sentient, emotional male being instead of merely a sexless thinking machine. Both Lawn and Deep are animated, believable, and sympathetic. I especially loved Deep and his emotional depth. He loves Lawn with all his “heart,” despite the horribly disfigured left side of her face.

Although the book did wring some tears from me – one of the tests a book must pass for me to give it anything above 4 kisses – I had a couple issues. Despite having a surprise ending that can be classified as HEA, I didn't find it a desirable ending, no matter how apropos it is, following as it does, in the wake of tragedy. I also finished the book with one burning question. How did Lawn's face become disfigured and what did it actually look like? Although Ms. Mooney goes to great lengths to elaborate on how her disfigured face affects her life and the way she views herself, her vague description of the actual injury, burn, or birth defect – or whatever it is – leaves a lot to be desired, which is a criticism I don't think I've ever had for a Mooney book.

That said, if you love Ms. Mooney's Sci-Fi romances or you're looking for something a bit different in the genre, pick up Deep and see what you think of it.

Scarred and weary, Dwan is ordered to go forty-seven years into the past in a last ditch effort to find the one man who can help her fight the monsters created decades ago by a company called Lambruchet. Monsters that have since devastated mankind and the world.

Eli Voight has been battling the Lambruchet demons ever since the company had his father killed. As the first Troller, he’s made it his duty to bring down the creatures and find a way to permanently stop them. He’s skeptical of Dwan's claim that she’s from the future. But her skill is undeniable, and her presence becomes an all-consuming passion for the man who had pushed aside any thought of a personal life in his quest to drive the demons to extinction.

Dwan never expected to fall and fall hard for the emotionally unapproachable soldier. Worse, she knew what kind of death lay ahead for Eli, which meant there could never be a future for them.

Together, they must fight to take out the monstrosities, or else Earth as it is will cease to exist. And the Earth that could be, Dwan’s world, will only hold a future of horror and hopelessness.

Peter and His Wolf Was Reviewed!

PETER AND HIS WOLF was recently reviewed by United By Books!

Description: Remember hearing the musical story by Prokofiev when you were in elementary school? About the boy who lived with his grandfather, and who captured a wolf by the tail? Did you ever wonder if the story was real? Did you ever wonder whatever happened to the wolf? More importantly, did you ever try to guess what happened to Peter after he captured the wolf?
This is the real story that was never told...until now.

My Thoughts: This book is, at 26 pages, a short read. Peter captures a wolf he keeps seeing. He is drawn back to see her one last time and is in for a surprise. I won't say too much since it's such a short read. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I thought it was a bit rushed, but liked the concept. The coupling was hot and the ending was cute. I just wish it was longer to flesh it out a bit more. I will be looking into more of Mooney's work to see what else she has in store for us.

Six on Sunday - POSSESSION

Available from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid

1.
The woman was covered so completely, only her face was visible. Oh, but what a face. It was the face of a world-class model. Young, with perfect angles and not a blemish to be seen. Lightly arched brows were the color of caramels. She was wearing a shapeless shift in a bluish-gray color. A scarf in similar shades was tied over her head, hiding the rest of her hair. But that face, those ripe lips…and those eyes.

2.  “That's not what I mean, and you damn well know it.” Her head swiveled in Sam‟s direction. “You, Detective, I have no problem with. But you.” She turned back to Kiel. “There's something about you that's throwing all my beliefs into a meat grinder and grinding them to bits. You have the aura, but I can touch you. What's going on, Detective? You frighten me, and I don't like this feeling. Not one bit. If I'm going to help you solve this case, we need to be upfront with each other, and now. Or else I'm going to have to call your captain back and tell him to send me two other men, or I'm bowing out.” She paused, and Kiel could hear her racing heart. He could also see her visibly attempting to slow down her breathing.

3.  Pausing outside of apartment number 316, Sam gave him a nod to go ahead. Sounding a quick sigh, Kiel tore off the tape barring them from entering and gave the handle a little jiggle to make it sound like he was using a key to open the door. Then he quickly went through the steel partition, into the apartment, and unlocked the door from the other side. J wore a little smile but said nothing, and for a second he wondered if the woman was aware of the little trick he'd pulled. Mentally shrugging, Kiel decided not to say anything unless she brought it up first. They were here to investigate a triple homicide, not discuss the attributes of a man who had died over a month ago.

4.  She no longer cared about the implications or the impossibility of the situation. Lifting her arms, she felt his wide, strong shoulders and the soft short hairs at the nape of his neck as he bent his face and pressed his mouth to her neck. His arms, like wide bands of warm steel, drew her against his chest, pressing her tightly against him. To be held like this fed her soul. It bathed her parched heart with life-giving hope, and there was no way she could doubt how he felt about her. Love had its own color because she had seen it in her parents, in Douggie, and shining out of Grandmama. And this blinding beacon of light was edged in that same color like a second aura.

5.  Sam ran, snatching J, then dashed past the apartment once again to reach the stairs. As he passed the open door he could barely made out a dark shape hovering like a cloud over Kiel‟s head as his brother faced the killer one-on-one. Neither he nor J made a sound as they half-ran, half-stumbled down the four flights of stairs and burst through the door into the apartment lobby. He paused a second to get his bearings, slightly disoriented because of the way they had been forced to go the back way this time. J started to say something when he tightened his grip around her waist and almost dragged her out the rear entrance.

6.  She didn't stop screaming until the police burst through the door leading from the stairwell, to face the carnage and its one lone blind survivor.

* * * * *
1. The last armed man gave the still figure a final kick before he left, locking the door behind him. With the only source of light gone, the cell once again grew pitch black. Her quiet world shifted back into place—only now she was sharing it with another person. A person who had been beaten nearly to death. From where she sat, Tora could hear the poor man’s labored breathing. Every few seconds he would groan in pain. Her heart went out to him.

2. The baron’s men advanced toward them, rifles ready as they proceeded to ring the couple. Someone ordered for a net to be brought, and one pair of boots disappeared from Croat’s line of vision. At the sound of a gun being cocked, he flattened his ears against his head and bared his bloody fangs. A growl of hatred reverberated in his throat as he raised his head to stare at them. To dare them; to threaten them. He could feel Tora quaking beneath him as they both waited for the inevitable to happen.

3. “I hear her screaming in my head,” he gasped, fighting the terror and agony he was receiving from her. “I can feel my hands, like they’ve been covered in fire.” Looking up at the elderly woman, Croat said, “For a moment there, I was free of her. I think she was unconscious, but it was like whatever cord was running between us had been cut. I was finally free of her…and it was a feeling I never want to feel again.”

4. His touch was overwhelming. At no time had her mother explained that a connection between a Sensitive and her life partner would become a two-way thing. At that moment, when it was taking all of her strength to keep herself conscious, it was Croat who was feeding her with his own emotional power, helping her survive; making her feel alive and sane. His body was like the sun, pouring warmth and energy into every dark crevasse in her withered psyche. It signaled a promise, beckoning and pleading for her to relent in order for him to claim her. She could feel herself trying to answer his silent, primitive call. It was a call she couldn’t explain or identify, yet she realized it was provoking something new from her. A new and different kind of feeling she’d never experienced before in her life.

5. “When a Sensitive touches the one who will become her lifelong partner, that connection forms. She has no warning it will happen, and neither does he. But when it does, that connection is what bonds them together for life. But a regular Sensitive’s bond with her husband, although it is lifelong, does weaken as the distance between them grows, should the two become separated.” Deelaht gently shook her head. “Not so for a Beginner. Be it a mile, or a hundred miles, you will be as aware of her as she will be of you, just as if you were standing next to each other.” She bit her lower lip then added, “And anything that happens to either of you will be felt by the other just as strongly.”

6. She stood before them, hands curled into fists at the end of ramrod-straight arms pressed by her sides. “We’re a game to the baron. We’re an exciting hunt on a boring afternoon. He has been taking men, women, and children from the surrounding villages on a regular basis and doing gods know what with them. Do you honestly believe, now that he knows you really exist, that he’s not going to put every man he can on your trail to try and find you? Dearest heavens, you were a myth! When normal people find out the myth is real, can you imagine the terror he could incite? They nearly killed Croat, and tried to make him feed on me because the baron knows how invincible he’ll be if he has a whole army of Lupan.”

Six on Sunday - MY STRENGTH, MY POWER, MY LOVE

Six paragraphs from My Strength, My Power, My Love
An erotic sci-fi romance
2009 Torrid Title of the Year
Available from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid
http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/torrid/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=396

1. Rowe Maine stood with his hands behind his back. His dark red jumpsuit stood out among the rest like a beacon. But it did little to disguise the fact that the man had been carved from the roughest stone. His shoulders and thick neck could have been sculpted from any woman’s fantasy. His chest was wide but not overly muscular like some of the younger men often sought during their workouts. Slim hips, a flat stomach, and powerful thighs filled out the lower portion of his suit. Grey licked her lips and tried to control the fluttering feeling inside her chest cavity. By the gods, he was the most wonderful thing she had ever set eyes on. Too bad he was one of the Unmatched.

2. This is wrong. It was wrong on so many levels. The feelings she was experiencing were the kind that she and everyone in her class had been taught would come from her mate. Her Synergistic other half. Her other soul, as the teachers often referred to it. They had said that her body would let her know who it was compatible to. A look, a touch, a taste, or maybe the simple sound of his voice would fire off rockets in her head and between her legs. All she had to do was listen and wait for that magical reaction to consume her. That would be how she would know she had found her other self. Their first kiss would confirm their beliefs, and the sexual part, their first consummation, would cement those feelings. And then they would be able to discover what kind of power and potential they produced from their union.

3. Rowe blinked. Five years ago he had been one of them. Like these new graduates, he had gone sexually berserk. After years and years of being celibate, he had gone through his choices like a hot wind, subconsciously hoping the woman he was laying at the time would turn out to be his mate. But one by one, each female failed to excite him. Failed to electrify him. Failed to sizzle over his skin like a rocket out of control as he had been told it would feel like.

4. Chuckling, their leader leaned over, ramming his mouth onto hers, grinding his lips across hers, biting and nipping the tender flesh until he drew blood. Grey continued to struggle, even when she heard the ripping sound of a jumpsuit being undone. These men intended to hurt her. They didn’t care whether or not they were brought to justice afterwards because by then they would have enacted their revenge. The damage would be done. They would have shown Cadet Dansis how wrong she had been to knock them out of flight school, and she would never forget this humiliation for the rest of her life.

5. Right now the memory of how Rowe had come to her aid warmed her like a gentle caress. Not to mention the shock of seeing the purest band of white light coming from their joined hands, and how it reached out and pummeled Brem Pollit into an unconscious heap. If that light was a portent of the kind of power she and Rowe would find, she couldn’t wait for the moment when he finally took her, man to woman, and they discovered its full extent together.

6. The mics were also out. She couldn’t hear anything through her headset even though Rowe continued to call out their status. Without the engines he couldn’t steer and couldn’t stop their deadly ride. Either the controls were frozen, or the relays were burnt. If the C’u Govin had managed to hit the engines or the weapons tanks, the flit would have exploded in a puff of effervescent glory. At the last possible second she remembered not to touch the controls until Rowe had the ship stable. She barely managed to glance up at the screen as darkness blanketed the craft. The surface of a solid body loomed like a rapidly growing missile. Grey screamed Rowe’s name as the flit struck the surface of the planetoid, plowed nose first through sterile soil, somersaulted onto its back, and finally came to rest upside-down.

Warning: Contains living nightmares, screwed DNA, impromptu dentistry, great beef stew (with real meat), deadly broom handles, coded writing, and a future that gives mankind only two more decades to exist.

Six on Sunday - A DIFFERENT YESTERDAY

Six paragraphs from A Different Yesterday
An erotic sci-fi, futuristic, post-apocalyptic romance novel
Available from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid

1. He gazed at the two pictures, at the chunky, tow-headed boy named Drew with the almost pure white hair, and the girl named JoBeth with her hair twisted up in one of those French braids. They were goofing off in front of the kiosk’s camera. Here, they’d stuck their thumbs in their ears as the flash went off. The lower photo showed them forehead to forehead, staring at each other as the bulb caught their profiles. Jo’s hair was a deep, russet red. Not quite orange enough to be a redhead, but not brown enough to be called brunette. She had a mass of freckles all over her body, her face and arms especially. And bright blue eyes. She’d told him her parents called them cornflower blue, then they had gone online to look up what a cornflower was.

2. Tollson scribbled, and left it at that. If truth be told, he had made no other plans beyond getting to Renoir and looking for Jo. It had been his single purpose in life growing up. That, and learning every trick he could in order to survive the journey. Because traveling the two-thousand-plus-mile trip alone and virtually unarmed would take a whole handful of virtues like courage, and strength, and stamina, and “pure-dee ol’ luck”, as Uncle Carter called it.

3. Tollson swiveled around in his seat. At first glance he realized Polinski was accompanied by a female, rather than another man, and he automatically got to his feet. A second look at the slender young woman, and he felt his face growing taut and cold as blood rushed straight to the center of his chest. The woman was staring at him in disbelief. Her movements slowed as she seemed to hesitate to meet him. Wide, cornflower blue eyes glittered with gathering tears, and her mouth hung open in undisguised shock.

4. Seventeen years ago they had shared their first-ever kiss on the mouth. Three times they had pressed their lips together, just like they had seen adults do. Innocent kisses that had tasted like peppermint and spaghetti sauce. Kisses that had been pure and uncomplicated. Kisses that had meant nothing more than a silent, unspoken promise. Her mouth was hot and wet, and she tasted like cinnamon. He felt her breath catch in her throat as his tongue sought hers, met, and sealed together. These were lovers’ kisses not meant for children. He pulled back, questioning her with his eyes, and giving her the chance to stop him. Jo refused to let him go as she hungrily reached for him, melted into him, and silently demanded an end to years of loneliness. His fingers dove into her hair, massaging her scalp with his fingertips.

5. Tossing the writing materials onto the table, he bent over at the waist and dug his fingers through his hair. He had hurt her last night. He almost did the same thing tonight. The thought of physically abusing her was like bile rising in his stomach, searing his throat with its acidic fear. Tollson was unaware he was rocking forward and back until Jo placed her hands on his skin, trying to soothe him as she made soft shushing sounds. After several minutes she managed to coax him back under the covers where she joined him. Holding her in his arms, he felt her slowly relaxing against him. Her weariness was evident in the boneless feel of her body as she melted against his warmth. He listened as her breathing slowed, letting him know she felt certain that he wouldn’t have another episode tonight. Confident his terrors were restricted to one episode a night. There was no way he could assure her that was the truth.

6. He took the half-dozen steps leading up to the first landing in two leaps. The closer they got to Jo’s room, the faster he moved. Bednorz could see the tension building in the man’s face and in the way he continually gripped his hands into fists. It was like watching a wreck about to happen. Or the death of something too pure and good that couldn’t be allowed to live. Her stomach lurched, anticipating the outcome. Knowing it wouldn’t be happy, nor would it be the end. These two people needed each other. They had paid every debt owed to be with each other. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Drew and Jo were one soul trapped in two bodies. After seeing the two of them together, it was as if a puzzle had found all its missing pieces to finally become a whole picture. A picture of happiness and contentment. The truest picture of love that she had ever witnessed.

Six on Sunday - DEEP

Six paragraphs from DEEP
An erotic sci-fi romance
Available from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid

1. For a split second she caught the reflection of herself in the mirror above the collapsible sink. Her hand involuntarily lifted to touch her cheek. Angrily, she straightened up and glared back at her image. “It's over,” she told herself firmly. “For the next two years there's nothing holding you back. Nothing. Got that?”

2. When she stepped out of the stall, her eyes immediately went to the mirror above the dinky sink. To her surprise, Deep's image was staring back at her. If she didn't know any better, he looked hurt. She opened her mouth to make a comment about his expression when she noticed his eyes gliding down her body in a slow perusal. The effect on her body took her aback. A nice hot bubble of lust burst between her legs, leaving her tingly and unfulfilled. Its hard edginess twisted in her womb, and sexual desire sizzled brightly, mixing with her blood in her veins. For a moment Lawn wondered if she might be able to slide back into bed and masturbate herself into a reasonable state of satisfaction. There was no way she could avoid the fact that Deep's holographic image was the sexiest thing she had seen in a very long time.

3. “I got…” She couldn't think. Training and the instinct for survival were driving her as she frantically tried to claw her way over the buoy's hull for something to grasp. There was no room for her to put another finger inside the connector. Lawn grew terrified that the buoy would rip her finger off her hand. If that happened, it would also tear the glove, and the breach in her suit would mean instant death.

4. Incredulously, she remained mute and watched as Deep‟s holo image reached for her injured hand. As his ghostlike fingers touched hers, three smaller extensions slid out of the metal rod. The faux fingers appeared to slip into alignment with Deep‟s as though they were slipping into a glove. So when he cupped her hand in his, Lawn felt the metal rods gently touch her.

5. No. That couldn't be right. It had to be his image was frozen as the ship dealt with cooking her breakfast and whatever other inner workings it had to simultaneously keep track of. Regardless, seeing him there gave her a very naughty sense of voyeurism. She remembered the hard-on she thought she'd seen earlier and debated whether she should try to see if she could have him produce another one, but common sense kept telling her it would be a futile gesture. On the other hand, the little devil sitting on her shoulder asked, “Hell, why not? Consider it an experiment…of sorts. After all, he's a ship, for crying out loud!”

6. “Do you think I planned to fall in love?” he asked her, before giving a little chuckle. “Hell, I didn't even know I was capable of such an emotion. But I should have known. I should have expected it. I mean, I can feel hate. Disgust. Curiosity. Happiness. Why not love?”
