If Tim Burton Directed Classic Disney Films

In his latest series, LA-based artist Andrew Tarusov asks, ‘What if Tim Burton directed all classic Disney movies?’
The series features Disney films depicted in Burton’s dark and demented aesthetic: big eyes, long limbs, and lots of mascara. He even changed some of the stories a bit to match the grim themes common in Burton’s movies.

A tale of paranormal horror
by Linda Mooney

writing as Gail Smith
Word Count:  16K
$1.99 e / $6.99 p

Four years ago Byron Shales was a manager for a department store. Now he hunts down and captures the newly zombie-fied dead, and resells them at auction to the highest bidder. What his buyers do with them after the sale is finalized is none of his business, and frankly he couldn’t care less.

His beliefs and apathy come to a sickening halt when he elects to keep one young woman for himself, and discovers that all his pre-conceived notions about these non-living creatures have been a lie. In fact, the truth about Rothsburg’s Disease may be more horrifying than the flesh-eating creatures it infects.

Now Available in Print! A FAERIE'S TALE, a Sensuous Contemporary Fantasy Romance

A FAERIE'S TALE
Sensuous Contemporary Fantasy Romance
Word Count:  52.7K
$3.99 e / $9.99 p

"Mommy, tell me a story.  A fairy story."

Jill has a very real fairy story to tell her daughter.  Actually she has two: the one she recites at bedtime and the one that is the truth.

Once upon a time there was a faerie whose life was contained in the forest lands of northern Maine. But when unscrupulous loggers began to cut down the trees which were the lifeblood of her people, she was ordered to take human form and find a way to stop them by using human means.

Caine York worked for the US Forestry Service. The last thing he needed was a tree rights activist like Jill Lattimer tagging along. Yet as the days went by he found himself unable to resist the woman's uninhibited spirit.

Unfortunately, Jill was also finding herself falling in love with the forest ranger. The human forest ranger. A man her people would never allow her to be with once they found out.

She would soon find herself fighting to stay with the man who had captured her heart, just as Caine would struggle to have the woman he cannot live without. Together they will fight to keep their beloved woods safe from deforestation, knowing that sooner or later one of them would have to lose everything they held dear.

Warning:  Contains horrendous weather, big bad humans, lightning from a stick, sex with wings, explosions, drone surveillance, barefoot nymphs, gunfire, and one very recalcitrant child.

Insect Wings Made to Look Like Flowers by Seb Janiak

Photos of insect wings manipulated to look like blooming flowers by Paris-based fine art photographer Seb Janiak. This series entitled Mimesis, a Greek word meaning imitation, was created without any special effects or retouching using only techniques from analog photography, namely superimposition and photomontage.

Mimicry is a survival technique developed by animals during the course of their evolution and involves various morphological, physiological, ecological and ethological aspects. The term also covers all types of camouflage used by species to ensure concealment from predators and avoid being seen by humans.
