...to retrieve his soul, she'll become fire...

Gabriel Caine stands on the edge of the abyss. A bitch vampire has taken his soul and if he doesn't get it back soon, his next step will be into Hell.

Rose Walters has been sent back to complete one task; save Gabriel Caine. She's drawn to Gabriel on the most basic level, but restoring his soul may be at the price of her life.

Rose has touched the whole of Gabriel, making him yearn for a love he believes he can never have. Her willingness to put her human life on the line for him forces him to bring all three parts of himself into harmony - demon, human, and Fae bloodlines, and the strengths of each - into the fight that will decide their fate.

Although Nina Decker's father is one hundred percent human, her mother is not. She belongs to an ancient and rare race of people called the fae. But these fae are not those written about in fairytales, with pretty gossamer wings and fairy dust, no they are sinister, malevolent and unkind, dwelling in another realm called Nightfall. More prone to destroy than to create. Abandoned at the age of ten, to be raised by her father, Nina has never forgiven her mother for that or for ruining her father. A man of only sixty, he appears to be closer to eighty with a frail body and mind. He's been fae-struck and is slowly fading away to nothing. This is one of the reasons why Nina has never gotten too close to any one man. She doesn't want to seal his fate like her father's has been.

But she can't deny her fiery connection to Severin Saint Morgan, a sexy as hell werewolf and the alpha of the Vancouver wolf pack. He's an Australian immigrant working at the university as an associate professor, and the publicized face of the werewolf species. He makes her blood boil with desire and makes her tremble with fear. But its only when her mother reappears with startling revelations about an upcoming war between the fae and the werewolves that Nina realizes that she may be a pawn for both sides.

New! THE TUB, My First Erotic Horror Written as Gail Smith

New!

THE TUB
An erotic tale of paranormal horror
by Gail Smith
(Linda Mooney w/a)
from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid
http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/torrid/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=49&products_id=582

This is a first for both myself and WCPT - an erotic horror story!

Amanda Storey was sent by her company to a tiny rural town to convince the community that having a chain mega-supermarket built there would be a boon to their economy and job market.

She never showed up for the town hall meeting, even though the company insists she was scheduled to be there. The motor inn where she had reservations claimed she never checked in, and police have not found any trace of her body or her car.

This is what really happened.

WARNING!  CONTAINS GRAPHIC HORROR!

"Enthrill Distribution Announces New EBook Retail System for Brick and Mortar"

It had to happen sooner or later.  "Enthrill Distribution Announces New EBook Retail System for Brick and Mortar"  In short, with the use of a simple placard, people can purchase their ebook, then download their book onto their reading device when they get home.  The "hows" are unclear to me right now, but I can already see a possbile double whammy against e-publishers.  Not only would they have to pay a percentage of each sale to the brick-and-mortar store, but to the distributor (here, Enthrill Distribution) as well.  That's a hefty chunk.  Yet, it gets the ebooks into retail shops (including airports) where they'll be seen by customers who wouldn't ordinarily know they exist otherwise.  (To a lot of people, ebooks = Amazon Kindle.  Period.)

Memorial

One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex standing in the foyer of the church staring up at a large plaque. It was covered with names and small American flags mounted on either side of it. The six-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the pastor walked up, stood beside the little boy, and said quietly, 'Good morning Alex.'

'Good morning Pastor,' he replied, still focused on the plaque. 'Pastor, what is this? '

The pastor said, 'Well son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service.'

Soberly, they just stood together, staring at the large plaque. Finally, little Alex's voice, barely audible and trembling with fear asked, 'Which service, the 8:00 or the 09:30?'

(Thanks, Therese!)
