No. In response to a lot of people on the loops asking me the same question, I will not be attending RT this year. Or the Lori Foster get-together. Or RWA.It's not so much the $$ issue. It's the fact that I can't take off from my teaching job for more than 3 days. If I do, I'd better have a doctor's excuse or else be docked FULL PAY for those days I was gone.
If RT comes back to Houston, or maybe Dallas/Ft. Worth, I could drive it, and then I'd get to see everyone.
So, for those of you going, safe trip! Have fun! And don't forget to blog your experiences after you get home.
