Happy New Year! Here Are My Resolutions for 2024

My New Year's resolutions for 2024:

I think I'll try doing again what I've done in the past:

1. Start a new series

2. Continue a series

3. Finish a series

4. And write 1 book under one my pseudonyms. 

I think I can manage that! LOL!

Well, for the first time in five years, I did NOT fulfill my New Year resolutions from last year.

In the past, I'd promised myself (and to you, my readers) to produce: 

1. A book that begins a new series,

2. A book that ends a series,

3. A book that continues a series,

4. and a book written under one of my pseudonyms. 

My new series began with DARK, Book 1 of the Aftermath series (dystopian, dark, apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic), and THE RENTAL (sensuous sci-fi).

I continued a series with BREACHERS #4: Kamrose and Cross.

And the books written under one of my pseudonyms include UNDERCOVER SUPERHERO (humorous fantasy as Carolyn Gregg), FOREVER, TIVA (horror romance as Gail Smith), and HARK! IT'S HAROLD THE ANGEL SINGING! (Christian romance as Lynn Gayle).

But I did not complete a series.

So this year I'm going to change my goal.

This year, I'm going to write SIX sequels. 

That's it! That's my resolution. Among the books I hope to get written this new year, SIX of them will be sequels. Which sequels? I don't know yet. My muse hasn't told me.

My New Year's Resolutions for 2022

 

Actually, I figure, why stop a good thing?

Last year, as in the previous 3 years, I thought I'd continue to do the same thing:

1. Start a new series

2. Continue a series

3. End a series

4. and write a story under one of my other pseudonyms.

So, last year, I started The 8th Species series with N8.

I continued the Noir Fairy Tales series with ROBBERY ON THE HIGH SEAS.

I ended The D'Jacques Dynasty series with MATTOX.

And I released several horror short stories, plus a collection of horror shorts, under my pseudonym Gail Smith.

Therefore, I plan to continue doing what's been successful for me in the past.

My New Year's Resolutions for 2021

 

Last year I aimed to do the following:

1. Start a new series

2. Continue a series

3. End a series

4. And write a book under one of my other pseudonyms.

In spite of how lousy 2020 was, I was able to accomplish all four. In fact, I released 16 new books, 4 of which were collections of short stories, and 2 additional independent shorties.

To be more precise, I started the series Noir Fairy Tales, I continued my Battle Lord series with book 9, My Battle Lord's Passion, and finished my VEILS trilogy. And as for my pseudonym contribution, I created a new name, Lynn Gayle, for my sweet Christian romances, beginning with A Furever Home. 

This year, I hope and plan to do the same--start, continue, and end, plus 1 other. I don't know how successful I'll be, but I have some terrific covers that are begging for their stories to be told.

So, we'll see!
