Check Out This Upcoming Feature on Your iPhone!

This feature is currently in Beta testing, but what I've discovered so far is so cool!  I can only imagine what this feature will be able to do once it's completed.

First off, let me inform you that this is only available on the iPhone 6 and up. Here's what you do:

Open your Maps app.

When it comes up, put in a destination. Here I've put in New York, but I've also checked out Dublin Ireland, Madrid Spain, London England, and Rome Italy.

When you get to that map, scroll up from the bottom until you see the bar FLYOVER TOUR. Click it.

Then sit back and enjoy a wonderful 1-2 minute 3D flyover of the location of your choice as it highlights certain destination spots and even identifies them for you!

The Ultimate Movie App - RunPee (dot) com

This has to be the ultimate app for theater movie goers. You're in the theater, the flick is getting good, and that extra large drink you purchased is starting to get your attention. And you can't wait until the end of the movie to go to the restroom.  Ta da! This is when you check your RunPee app to find out the perfect time to take that potty run. It'll even tell you what dialog and scenes you missed!

For more information, check out Lost at E Minor.

Hanging With Friends

From the people who gave us WORDS WITH FRIENDS comes HANGING WITH FRIENDS.  It's an app for the iPhone and iPad.  It's a different version of Hangman, where you choose an avatar, and you're suddenly holding onto 5 helium balloons over an active volcano on a Polynesian island.  If you cannot solve your friend's word, you lose a balloon.  First person to fall into the flowing lava loses, natch.

Wanna play?  I'm MacWombat.

Reading a PDF on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad

I've had a couple of readers comment on the fact that my new release is PDF only, and they don't want to have to read it on their home computers.

Here's what you can do.  Go to the App Store and download the BLUEFIRE reader.  (It's free.)
- Now, plug in your iPhone/Pad/Pod.
- When iTunes kicks in, go to DEVICES and click on your device.
- Go to Apps.
- Scroll down.  You'll see the Bluefire app there. Click on it.
- Now, open your computer and find the PDF of the book you want to read.  Click, drag, and drop into the Bluefire Documents folder.  Voila!

Let the iDevice finish syncing, then you can open it, go to your Bluefire reader and click it on.  The pdf will be there to read!

Atomic Tom - "Take Me Out"

Here's group of musicians who had their instruments stolen in October.

No problem.  They added the iPhone apps of their instruments to their phones, and one day hit the NYC subway for a live "performance".

The result is awesome to the max!  See if you don't agree!

I Heart Words With Friends

Teacher friends at school introduced me to this app for my iPhone.  WORDS WITH FRIENDS is a version of Scrabble.

Wow, talk about giving my brain cells a workout!
