Who Wants This Book?
I found this while cleaning out my closet. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST TV Series (CBS). From the Emerald Coast Helpers Society (printed 1989), Recipes From Above & Below, with special contributions from Jay & Fonda Acovone and Roy & Kay Dotrice.
Book is 6x8, GBC bound, 126+ pages, and in very good condition.
I'm asking $5.00, plus $3.50 first class postage.
If you're interested, email me.

Romance Movie Review - Beastly
Anything that has to do with Beauty and the Beast is automatically on my DO IT list. DO IT as in rent it, buy it, listen to it, or whatever I need to do in order to check it out.The moment I heard about BEASTLY, it went on my DO IT list. And I'm very glad I did. The story set in New York in today's time follows the original fairy tale quite closely. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some literary teacher somewhere did a comparison study between BEASTLY and the original fairy tale, or even Disney's version, for that matter.
At no point does the romance become sappy. It's fully believable. And Kyle's beastly self (in his handsome guise) reminds me of the best-looking guy in high school whose parents always gave him everything he ever wanted, but he turned out to be an obnoxious jerk anyway.
Of course, to me, the people who nearly stole the show was a tug-of-war between Mary-Kate Olsen as the goth girl cum real witch, and Neil Patrick Harris playing Kyle's blind tutor.
And the ending was perfect. Just...perfect.

When this video first premiered, it absolutely took me by the heart and imagination, and totally fired up my creative juices. To this day I still LOVE it!

I Heart a Great Kiss
Lots have been said about Best Kiss in a Movie. So I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Here's my 5 Favorite Movie Kisses (in no particular order).
1. Somewhere in Time
The kiss against the door jamb.
(Note: this pic is big enough to be a background screen saver!)
1. Somewhere in Time
The kiss against the door jamb.
2. Beauty and the Beast (Disney version)
Yes, it's an animated cartoon, but it was great kiss!
3. Ladyhawke
When they finally get to touch each other in human form.(Note: this pic is big enough to be a background screen saver!)
4. The Phantom of the Opera
Erik's first kiss.
5. And, of course, my avatar. My blue kiss.
No, it's not from a movie, but to me it's the most romantic one I've ever seen.Wednesday, October 14, 2009
