It's Officially Autumn

I'm ready for fall.  I'm tired of this 90+ degree heat every day.  I want cooler weather.  Unfortunately, in south Texas, we don't really see trees changing color until nearly December. 

Makes me wish I could go back up to Maine or Vermont where the rainbow of leaves is now occurring. 

Bet it's gorgeous.

Spring is Coming, but I Heart Autumn

Spring is coming.  The weather's turning warmer, but it still contains a touch of the cold.  Our few mandatory days of freezing rain are gone.  But my favorite time of the year is Autumn, and always will be.  I don't know why.  Maybe it's because my most favorite holiday, Halloween, is during that time.  Maybe it's because the harsh, hot days of summer are over (I'm not a fan of 100+ degree days). Or maybe it's because of all the warm colors in the leaves - in direct contrast to the cooler weather.  (My dad always called the fall "cuddling weather".)

I don't know.  I can't explain why, but I guess that's what makes everybody different.
