The man told me the premise to this one, and being that he's prejudiced against everything he doesn't agree with, he's already dubbed it a mistake. *eyeroll*
His problem is the hero meets his wife as a young girl. He says this is no better than pedifilia in concept. Is he right? I doubt it, he just loves to think he is.
I'm not sure yet. There can be issues if it's not done tastefully, and respectfully. I mean, they meet. Fine. He's not physically stalking her, right? (The man's contention)
Personally, I think I'd read the book over the movie. Movies take liberties for length and circumstance that are better conveyed in books. The only exception I've seen has been LOTR.
