Adrian Stannis is a brilliant scientist fed up with an Empire that treats him like an intellectual slave. He's a man of peace forced to build weapons of war. Life finally seems to be going his way, but this is Adrian; peace slips through his fingers faster than a tide rushing out, and they become embroiled with bounty hunters, smugglers, Hunter teams, and a charismatic rebel leader, basically anyone who wants the hundred million credit bounty on his head, not to mention the valuable information he possesses.
