*LOL* I'll admit I like unusual and made-up names. I have added several of them to my MS Word dictionary to avoid the red squiggles in my manuscript.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there comes a point where enough is enough. When spelling the name aloud sounds like you are reading an eye chart, it is probably a safe bet that the name is too much.

I'm having the misspelling problem. My heroine's name is Chastity. My problem is bricklike fingers that keep typoing.
ReplyDeleteAnd my co-author keeps calling her "Constance." So we made that a running gag in the story, that her aunt always calls her "Constance."
