I predict that in the near future, DVDs and DVD cases will become obsolete, the same way VHS and music cassettes have become.I believe people will go online to a movie store, much like iTunes, and "buy" their movies. And in the same way Amazon and Fictionwise, as well as ARe/Omnilit, handles purchased ebooks, those movies would be downloaded onto a table-top hard drive. From that hard drive, you can call up your movie and play it on any television in the house.
